Science Olympiad competes at West Alabama

Our TIS/TSGC Science Olympiad team traveled to the University of West Alabama on Tuesday, October 18. There were 9 schools represented with 17 teams total. Many students placed in several events held at the competition. The Science Olympiad practices every Thursday afternoon until 4:30. We are very proud of our students! Winners from the UWA competition include:

Water Rockets, 2nd place: Conner Owens and Dia Montiel-Duenas
Mystery Architecture, 2nd place: Cameron Prosser and Dalton Willis
Deep Blue Sea, 3rd place: Max Woodall and Dia Montiel-Duenas
Deep Blue Sea, 1st place: Cameron Prosser and Conner Owens
Starry, Starry Night, 1st place: Sam Zoebelein and Noe Cortright 
Write it/Do it, 3rd place: Locke Little and Sam Zoebelein
Measurement and Metric, 3rd place: Paxton Miller and Graham Chenault
Pasta Bridge, 2nd place: Connor Johnson and Jorge Millan
Pasta Bridge, 1st place: Cameron Prosser and Alex Galloway
